Home Learning for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 for the week beginning 15.6.20

Hello everyone! It's almost midsummer and we hope you're enjoying the long summer days and warm weather.

We hope you're spending some of your time reading interesting books and would love to hear about them.

Guided reading for Year 3 this week was about The London Marathon.

Writing this week was about minibeasts and the challenge was to write a non chronological report about the most interesting minibeast you found in your minibeast hunt.

As well as the usual arithmetic, White Rose activities and times tables practice you were invited to try a decimal investigation 'Round the Dice Decimals' and to use interactive dice.

Topic work this week was inspired by '30 Days Wild!'. As mentioned above, everyone was encouraged to hunt for creatures living in the outside areas around your home, and to record what you found.

Science work on animals continued to explore the subject of food. What are the different food groups and why is a balanced diet important? Can you create your own Eatwell Plate?

Were you able to join in the The Big Sing 2020 on Friday afternoon?

Did you take part in the 'Rainbow Run' at home?
