W/c 15th June 2020 Reception

Welcome back everyone, we hope you all managed to enjoy the sunshine last weekend.

We have received some more lovely life cycle work and we were excited to find out that some of you have looked after caterpillars and released your own butterflies.

We really liked this drawing of a caterpillar from the 'Caterpillar Shoes' story.

Maths:
We liked how you sorted the cards into odd and even numbers.

Counting in 5's

We were impressed with this lovely junk model castle. I wonder which shapes you can spot?

Topic work:
We were very excited to hear some of you have been out on a nature hunt.

This is a beautiful collage using things from nature.

It was interesting to see the baby froglets growing.

A great minibeast tally chart.

Writing:

We enjoyed reading this careful piece of writing with capital letters, finger spaces and a full stop.

At School :

The children have been out on a minibeast hunt.

As part of this week's 30 Days Wild we have been 'sketching nature up close'.

We have been using 3D shapes to build 'Princess Mirror-Belle' a palace. This is from some of the White Rose activities set this week.

We have been making perfumes and potions and then writing the list of ingredients.

We drew flowers and leaves from nature and put them on cards for a special day on Sunday!

We have been sorting mini beasts.

We looked for wildlife on the school field using binoculars that we had made. Look what we saw!

We ran a rainbow run.

We checked to see if the numbers on our giant number track were odd or even.
